The route via the serpentine road up from Kotor counts as the most scenic drive in the country, having 25 sharp hairpin turns. The park is best known for housing the mausoleum of Montenegro’s favorite ruler, Petar Petrović-Njegoš.
· Mausoleum of Petar Petrović-Njegoš: climb up 461 stairs to visit this marble chapel withgilded gold ceiling, and get rewarded by the dizzying, sweeping 360 degree viewat the height of 1675m.
· Ivanova Korita:it is the gateway and main hub of the park. The big grassy fields include children’splayground, bike rental, and barbecue facilities, ideal for relaxation and picnic.
· Walking & Biking: get information and maps of walking/biking trails at the VisitorCenter at Ivanova Korita, choose trail that suits your experience and fitness. Or join in a guided walk for more challenging trails.
· Njeguši Village:situated at the northern edge of the park, this village is the birthplace ofthe Petrović dynasty, also famous for making the country’s best pršut(smoke-dried ham) and cheese. Do not leave with tasting.
