Start with exploring Bar’shalf-ruin Old town (Antivari) in the mountains, 4 km away from thecoast, and admire the impressive stone aqueduct—the only remaining partin the former Yugoslav states. On the way back, check in the Oldest OliveTree (2,200 year-old), before pay a visit to King Nicola’s Palace,now serves as the town’s Museum, housing a collection of antiquities, folkcostumes and royal furniture.
Continue southbound towardsUlcinj. Stop at Valdanos Cove, stroll among its ancient olive grovesconsisting of 18,000 olive trees. Go straight to the stunning Velika Plaza,the 13km Long Beach of Ulcinj, relax or try kite-surfing. Turn inlandand take a walk around the Ulcinjska Salina (Salt Pond) to adore theelegant flamingo and 250 other species of birds. Further on is Lake Saswhere you can take a boat ride and watch birds too. Return to its Old Townfor an unforgettable Adriatic sunset dinner.
